“It just gets better every year with the new refinements and different themes keeping the program fresh.”

“Like one of the other leaders said, it is great to see people grow from participants, to youth counsellors and then to leaders. Not only does this progression affirm the great impact this event has, but it also ensures that we have youth leaders who can be role models and that the kids have no trouble relating to.”

“My Miles LOVED the children's retreat. I mean cried that it was over LOVED it. "We sang songs and did prayers, and creation crafts and the FOOD, Mom the FOOD was so good!"”

“Kaiya was crying because she wanted to go back.....and crying because next year Faith will be too old to go with her.....Faith said it was her best camp yet. Bless you for this.”

“Thank you to you and your Team, Ben has returned home an energized and excited boy, whose first words to me were, “I am definitely going again next year!” It makes a mother’s heart soar!

“Thank you so much for hosting the Children's Retreat! Once again Natasha came home beaming, full of camp tales of friendship and fun. It is so nice to see that she is reconnecting with friends she made at last year's Retreat and Camp Fircom and made new friends at this year's Retreat. Please pass on my appreciation to all those who made the retreat such a special experience.”

“The WHUC guys and I had a wonderful time. They are all planning on returning next year. I'm already thinking about what I can do differently next year (a stop motion workshop based on the theme? Maybe a visual schedule/shape of the day for kids/adults who would find that helpful?). For sure we need a picture of Andre in his full goalie gear for the slide show. I also learned a lot watching a church camp pro like Victoria. She's a lovely girl.

On the way home on the bus Evan asked how old he needs to be to serve as a leader (fingers crossed)! Stories about Merlin have been replaced with tales about Finn. Be sure to tell him he really made an impression.
On behalf of me and my gang thanks for all the hard you and the rest of the team put in. We had a great time.”
